Capture of standard terms through a table

This
ABCD option allows you to create value tables which will be displayed when opening the corresponding field entry. The way in which the table is displayed will depend on the Input type allocated to the field in FDT (checkbox, option, select single, select multiple). The value tables are stored in the folder def in the selected database

To create a new table type a name in the Name box, with a .tab extension and then click on edit/create.
To display an existing table click on the image or on the corresponding table name.

To edit an existing table click on the name
of the table and then click on edit/create.

To assign
an existing table to a field, click on the name of the table then click on update FDT

To delete an existing table click on the name of the table and then click on delete. The table will be deleted from the folder, but it will remain associated with the respective field in the FDT so remember to also delete the entry in the FDT.

The available tables list shows all the files with the
.tab extension located in the def folder of the selected database.

Table Creation/Editing

Once the file name has been typed in the Name box, click on create/edit. The selection will be shown in two columns table: Code | Term

If only the term column is filled, the values placed in this column will be shown during the input process, and will be transferred to the corresponding field using the selection method for the appropriate type of input field as defined in the FDT.

If you want to transfer the code and the associated term, then the field structure which will receive the value table should have 2 subfields. The value of the corresponding code will be placed in the first subfield and in the second, the value of the corresponding term. Only the term column values will be shown during the input process, but the code and the term will be stored by using the corresponding subfields.

When the table editing is finished, click on the Update button to save the created/modified table and assign it to the corresponding field in the FDT.

Tip: To use an already defined table from database B, in a database A, precede the name of the Picklist with the absolute path of the location
of
the table that you want to use.
